FAAN Launches “Operation Go Cashless” Across Nigerian Airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is proud to announce the official launch of Operation Go Cashless — a new contactless payment system designed to make transactions at all our airports faster, safer, and more convenient for everyone.

In partnership with Paystack, this digital payment solution will begin rollout from September 29, 2025, starting with Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

From this date, all payments at FAAN’s revenue points — including Access Gates, Car Parks, FAAN VIP and Protocol Lounges — will be processed cashlessly. We are phasing out cash collections at these points as part of our commitment to modernize airport operations and align Nigeria’s aviation sector with global digital standards.

With this transition, travelers and airport users can now enjoy faster, more secure, and seamless payment experiencesthrough our contactless system. This initiative reflects FAAN’s dedication to improving efficiency, transparency, and revenue assurance, while delivering a superior customer experience at all airports.

To ensure a smooth transition, trained brand ambassadors have been deployed across terminals and access gates to assist users, provide demonstrations, and answer questions.

Passengers are encouraged to obtain their FAAN Go Cashless Card at any airport access gate in Lagos and Abuja. After collecting the card, users should activate and fund it immediately by visiting www.gocashless.faan.gov.ng.

FAAN remains fully committed to continuous improvement and will expand the cashless payment policy to other airports nationwide in phases.

For inquiries or support, travelers may contact our customer service line at 0700-CBS-FAAN (0700 227 3226) or email [email protected].

Together, let’s make Nigeria’s airports smarter, faster, and more efficient — one digital payment at a time.
