The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo SAN, the Managing Director/Chief Executive of The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs Olubunmi Kuku and other critical stakeholders, paid a one-day working visit to Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital .
His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umaru Zulum, the Executive Governor of Borno State, discussed the forthcoming upgrade of the General Muhammadu Buhari International Airport.
Operations are expected to fully commence by January 1, 2025.
The upgrade will enhance connectivity, economic growth, revenue generation and regional development.
